CONSTRUCTION UPDATE

Bensons Property Group, in collaboration with leading international builder, Icon Construction, is thrilled to provide you with an exciting update on the progress of our Gold Coast project – Chevron One.

We are delighted to share that many important milestones have been reached at Chevron One, as we continue to bring this iconic development to life. Completion is now on track for mid-2025.

At the northern end of the site, the bulk excavation for Basement 3 has achieved its intended depth, representing a significant stride in the construction process.

The successful installation of sheet piling, extending deep into the core of the building and lifts has been completed. This entailed driving pre-fabricated steel sections into the ground to ensure structural integrity and facilitate the tying of the Basement 3 slab. The upcoming critical tasks involve finalising the lift overrun excavation and installing the necessary de-watering spears.

Icon Construction has strategically deployed excavators within the basement to efficiently complete the excavation process. At ground level, telescopic plant machinery is effectively handling the spoil and loading it onto trucks for removal offsite. This concerted effort ensures a seamless and streamlined construction workflow.

Looking ahead, we have already scheduled the tower crane for the end of July 2023, adding to the momentum of our progress. Beyond that, our target is to pour the ground level slab in September, further solidifying the foundation of the structure and finally presenting a street presence, after some 18 months in the ground, under very challenging weather conditions.
